Lovable Alternatives (2026): 8 Options and Who Should Switch

Lovable turns a chat into a full-stack web app, with database, sign-in and hosting built in. That bundle is the reason most people pick it, and also the reason some people leave. This page covers who usually looks for a Lovable alternative and why, then lists eight alternatives from the Stackdrop directory. For each one: who it's for, the key trade-off, and what its official site says about plans.

How we wrote this: facts and prices come from each tool's official website and pricing page, checked October 17, 2026. We haven't run hands-on tests of these tools, so treat this as a decision guide, not a test report. Plans change often, so open the linked pricing page before you pay.

Who switches from Lovable, and why

  • You want a mobile app in the app stores. Lovable builds for the web. If an App Store or Play Store listing is the goal, look at a builder made for mobile.
  • You want to control usage costs differently. Lovable bills in credits. Its free plan includes 5 build credits a day (up to 30 a month), and the cost of each message varies with the task. If you'd rather pay per token, per message or per seat, other builders price differently.
  • Your app lives on Vercel or in a Next.js codebase. If your team already deploys to Vercel, a builder that outputs Next.js and deploys there can fit better.
  • You've outgrown prompting and want to own the code day to day. Many builders eventually move to an AI code editor or a coding agent working on their own repo.
  • You design in Figma first. If your source of truth is a Figma file, building from inside Figma saves a translation step.

If none of these apply, Lovable may still be the right tool. See Lovable vs Bolt vs v0 for a side-by-side of the three most common choices.

1. Bolt.new

Who it's for: builders who like Lovable's prompt-to-app flow but want token-based pricing and a choice of database provider.

What the official site says: the free plan includes public and private projects, a 300K daily token limit, 1M tokens a month, website hosting and unlimited databases, with Bolt branding on sites. Pro is $25 a month billed monthly. It has no daily token limit, starts at 10M tokens a month, and adds custom domains and a choice of database provider. Unused paid tokens roll over for one extra month.

Key trade-off: Bolt says most token usage comes from syncing your project's files to the AI, so the larger the project, the more tokens each message uses. Big apps can burn through the allowance faster than you expect.

2. v0

Who it's for: developers and design-minded builders who want React and Next.js output and already deploy on Vercel.

What the official site says: the free plan includes deploys to Vercel, visual editing in Design Mode, GitHub sync and a 7-message daily limit. Plus is $30 per user per month with $30 of included monthly credits and $2 of free daily credits on login. Business is $100 per user per month and opts out of training by default.

Key trade-off: v0 is built around the Vercel ecosystem. If you want database, auth and hosting in one bundle the way Lovable does it, expect to wire up more pieces yourself.

3. Replit

Who it's for: builders who want an AI agent and a full cloud development workspace in one place, including databases and integrations.

What the official site says: Core is $20 a month ($18 billed yearly) and includes $20 toward more powerful models, plan mode and unlimited workspaces. Pro is $100 a month ($90 billed yearly), with 10 parallel agents, up to 15 collaborators and database rollback up to 28 days.

Key trade-off: Replit notes that its agent is probabilistic and may occasionally make mistakes, and that spending is effort-based on top of the plan. Budget for usage, not just the subscription.

4. Base44

Who it's for: non-developers who want an all-in-one builder with simple message-based credits.

What the official site says: the free plan has all of Base44's core features and 25 message credits a month. Starter is $16 a month billed yearly with 100 message credits. Builder is $40 a month billed yearly with 250 credits and adds GitHub integration. Credits cover AI messages and integration actions, and exact usage varies by action and model.

Key trade-off: 25 free credits a month goes quickly if you iterate a lot, so plan on a paid tier for anything beyond a first app.

5. Anything

Who it's for: builders who want one prompt-driven tool for both web and mobile apps.

What the official site says: Pro starts at $19 a month for 20K credits and adds custom domains and private projects. The plan comparison lists code export and App Store submission, and higher tiers add automated testing.

Key trade-off: usage is credit-based, like Lovable's, so check how fast your kind of app uses credits before picking a tier.

6. FlutterFlow

Who it's for: teams building real mobile apps (plus web and desktop) who want a visual editor on top of Flutter.

What the official site says: the free plan covers the visual builder, 1,000+ templates, web publishing, up to 2 projects and 10 Lite AI credits. Basic is $39 a month and adds unlimited projects, code download, APK download, custom domains and one-click app store deployment.

Key trade-off: it's a visual development tool more than a chat-to-app builder. It's more control and more to learn than Lovable.

7. Figma Make

Who it's for: designers and product teams whose work starts in Figma.

What the official site says: Figma Make generates a functional prototype or web app from a prompt. You can attach existing Figma designs, connect backend support, use plan mode, and publish as a website with its own URL. The free Starter plan includes 150 AI credits a day, up to 500 a month. Professional full seats list at $16 a month plus 3,000 AI credits (pricing depends on billing period).

Key trade-off: it's strongest for prototypes and design-led web apps. For a production app with complex data, check what its backend support covers.

8. Claude Code

Who it's for: builders who have outgrown prompt-to-app tools and want an agent working directly on their own codebase.

What the official site says: Claude Code is included in Claude Pro, $20 a month billed monthly or $17 a month with an annual subscription, and in Max plans from $100 a month. It isn't included in the free plan.

Key trade-off: you manage hosting, database and deploys yourself (or with other tools). You get more control, but there's no built-in backend.

Decision guide

  • Want the closest swap? Try Bolt.new (token pricing) or Base44 (simple message credits).
  • Already on Vercel or Next.js? v0.
  • Need an app store listing? FlutterFlow for a visual, Flutter-based build, or Anything for prompt-first web and mobile.
  • Design-first team? Figma Make.
  • Want an agent plus a full workspace? Replit.
  • Ready to own the code? Claude Code, often alongside Supabase and Vercel. See the full stack in Ship an MVP.

Next step

Pick two tools from the decision guide and build the same small feature in each on their free or entry plan, for example a sign-up page that saves to a database. Compare how many credits or tokens it used and how easy the output is to change. Then commit. For more options, browse vibe coding tools or the full directory.
