The Drop #2: agent teams on your Mac, phones for agents, and the free tiers of AI coding tools
78 new tools on Stackdrop this week, plus a new comparison of what the free tiers of AI coding tools actually give you.
Hey builders. This issue covers the tools we added and the pages we published since The Drop #1 on Oct 19. Every description comes from the tool's listing or its own site.
New comparison
- Free tiers of AI coding tools. What you get on the free plan of 15 AI coding tools before you have to pay, checked on each tool's own pricing page.
New tools
Run a team of coding agents
- Filo: a Mac app where you give agents names, memory and skills and chat with them, answered by the Claude Code or Codex you already pay for.
- Kora: MIT-licensed Mac app that runs Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode and Antigravity as one team, with a lead agent handing work to workers in separate git worktrees.
- CCC (Claude Command Center): a local board for coding-agent sessions with a needs-attention lane, work queues and a free-model fallback when you hit usage limits.
- T3 Code: open-source desktop, web and mobile app that controls the agents already on your machine, on your existing subscriptions.
- PandaCode: runs Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode and Kimi Code side by side with Git, a terminal, a browser and a task board.
- Twine: a macOS workspace that runs agent CLIs together in single, adversarial or coordinator workflows, with shared memory and run traces.
- The Agent Office: a free Mac app that puts an agent on each Jira or Linear ticket, each in its own worktree, with pushes and deletes waiting for your OK.
- Runquay: turns project goals into a local task queue for Codex, Claude Code, Gemini CLI and Antigravity CLI, MIT-licensed.
- Kith: keeps parallel agents in one repo from colliding by having them claim tasks, files and dev-server ports through MCP.
- koto: copies a conversation from one agent to another (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenCode) so you don't re-explain the project.
- Agent Pets: each Claude Code or OpenCode session becomes a pet in Chrome that bounces when it needs you, and you can approve commands from any tab.
Memory, approvals and safety for agents
- Action Gate for Claude Code: a Claude Code hook that pauses Slack posts, CRM writes and deploys until you Allow or Block them, and stops the call if nobody answers in 10 minutes.
- Slowave: an open-source MCP memory server on your machine that carries decisions and procedures between sessions and tools.
- Beacon: records your sessions across 20+ agent tools and turns the fixes that worked into reviewed skills later agents can pull in.
- Atlarix: a private AI workstation for desktop, CLI and editors where every file edit waits for your approval.
- tryboxi: throwaway Linux microVMs on an Apple Silicon Mac for agents to run tests and untrusted code, with secrets kept out.
- Sentinel Local: an open-source desktop dashboard for connection activity, Wi-Fi checks and Defender or ClamAV scans (unsigned beta, not a certified antivirus).
Agents that run things
- Omnara: Apache-2.0 platform to deploy durable agents on any model and cloud, with approvals, scoped secrets and Slack, Discord and GitHub surfaces.
- Lodol: ask Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor to build a workflow once, and Lodol runs it on triggers and schedules with every run logged.
- Claude Duet: Anthropic's research-preview agent app that watches your connected apps and does tasks in a cloud computer, waitlisted for US Pro and Max subscribers.
- Floatboat DeepSeek Agent: a Mac and Windows workspace that gives DeepSeek and other models your local files, a browser and scheduled automation.
- Bike4Mind: an open-core workbench with 60+ models, agents, notebooks and RAG behind one key and one bill.
- PhoneUse: cloud Android phones and real devices for agents through one MCP server, API or Python SDK.
- Opposable: connects your own phone to Claude, Codex or Cursor so an agent can open apps, tap and type, handy for testing your mobile app.
- What Should My Bot Do: answer 5 questions and get the first job to give your AI agent, with ready-to-copy prompts. The planner is free.
Build the app
- Scram: builds apps from pre-tested blocks with no AI credits while you build, and charges $9 per app per month once it goes live.
- Wodby Agent: describe an app and it lands in your own GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket repo, with preview and release on infrastructure you control.
- Agiloop: AI interviews turn into specs and a backlog, then code in your repo, usage tracking and the next round of fixes.
- kuron: MIT-licensed tool where Claude pretends to be your finished app, so you can click through the flows before writing code.
Backend, billing and deploys
- Paddle AI Toolkit: lets your coding agent create products and prices, run sandbox checkouts and check webhooks in Paddle.
- Condx: free, open-source Mac app for Convex backends with a local backend without Docker, schema diffs, backups and approval-gated deploys.
- Replit Monitoring Agent: watches a published Replit app's errors and latency, investigates alerts, validates a fix and can redeploy.
Test and secure what you shipped
- Milo's Launch Check: looks at your live Lovable, Bolt, Cursor or Replit app as a logged-out stranger would, for exposed keys, open tables and unprotected admin pages.
- heal.dev: builds a production-like sandbox of your app and hunts for runtime bugs and vulnerabilities, each one reproduced.
- Breken: rebuilds your app in isolation and lets synthetic users hit it while it varies one condition at a time, like retries or clock jumps.
- Bob: checks whether search engines and AI crawlers can read your marketing site, then six synthetic personas tell you where they'd bounce.
APIs, MCP servers and models
- CrawlForge MCP: an MCP server with 31 tools to scrape, search, crawl and extract a URL into markdown or JSON.
- API.market: 1,020+ APIs your agent can search and call through one hosted MCP gateway.
