Mistral sells Vibe (formerly Le Chat), a chat assistant and coding agent in one product. Vibe for code installs as a CLI, runs in VS Code, JetBrains or Zed via ACP, or runs remote coding tasks, and connects to 100+ tools with MCP support. The API lives in Mistral Studio (formerly La Plateforme), where you get an API key, build agents and workflows, and track usage and spend; most models are billed per million tokens. Codestral is Mistral's code completion model ($0.30 input, $0.03 cached input, $0.90 output per million tokens). Mistral Large 4, checked Nov 1, 2026: a 1-trillion-parameter multimodal model with open weights released Oct 29, 2026 (still Public Preview in Mistral's docs), priced at $0.70 input, $0.07 cached input and $2.10 output per million tokens. Mistral calls it its best open-weight model for coding. Run it through the Mistral API, OpenRouter, Hugging Face weights or Vibe Code. License: Mistral Ecosystem Open-Weight license, a modified MIT license; Model-as-a-Service businesses need a separate license.
