Marker
open-sourceConvert PDFs to Markdown, JSON and HTML, with tables and math
About
Marker, from Datalab, converts PDF, image, PPTX, DOCX, XLSX, HTML and EPUB files to Markdown, JSON, HTML or chunks, and formats tables, forms, equations, inline math, links and code blocks. It runs on GPU, CPU or Apple Silicon, with OCR through a local inference server, and an optional LLM pass (Gemini, Claude, OpenAI-compatible, OpenRouter or Ollama) can raise accuracy. The code is Apache 2.0; the model weights are free for research, personal use and startups under $5M in funding or revenue, with a commercial license from Datalab beyond that.
